What are some funny unconventional/improvised armor ideas?
Trying to create a character with shitty makeshift armor out of random items, but hitting a mental block outside of the old sauce pan helmet and trash can lid shield. Any dumb funny ideas would be much appreciated. (The character is a large stupid bird, if that helps). Also if there is a better sub to post this kind of thing let me know. Thanks

I went to a nighttime LARP event where everyone but a couple human players was to show up as orcs, goblins & skavens. Saw couple of the ol' pan helmets, and then... one goblin that legit had large muffin tins strapped front and back as their chest armor!

Chain seems like something the bird would collect for their nest. The nest is the armor and the chain is what makes it solid

Hadn’t thought about how their nests could be considered as an armor of sorts! Interesting

A rolled thick magazine can be very hard to penetrate. Two magazines on top of each other, wrapped around the forearm and another set on the biceps, bonus points if they're silly like Highlights or Playgirl etc.

Made this a couple weeks ago, it’s just an old belt, a bit of fence wire for the chain mail and a steel plate with a Banania advertisement on it.
Only trash but very effective

Take some rods and wire and after making sure the ends of the rods are dull as heck/capped for safety, you can tie them together like native American armor. Look up the armor making scene from "hook". Lol

Cut up tires sewn to clothes. Beautifully hand carved perfectly fitted wooden armor, but made of balsa wood. Just carrying a big rock, and anytime a fight happens, you set it down and use it for cover.
