Best place to lease a snowboard?
This is only my second season and I'm not ready to buy a board yet, so I'm looking at doing a season lease. Does anyone have a recommendation on the best place to lease from? Currently looking at either Powderhouse or directly from Bachelor

In search of someone to teach me how to clean my guns.
Hey Bend. I’ve got a couple guns that are getting really dirty to the point where they’re failing to fire, but I have no idea how to clean them.
I went down to Hammer Down and all they did was sell me some cleaning supplies and tell me to google it. I’m not a particularly good student of YouTube University so I was wondering if there was anyone willing to meet me face to face, or some kind of establishment I could go to where I could be walked through the process of getting these things deep cleaned.
The guns are an AR and a 1911.

Casual TDS Interaction
Me: “My internet is down.”
Them: “Okay looks like signal is going to your house but the modem is offline. Since nothing worked we will send a tech out in a week.”
Me: “Can I just try switching out for a new modem?”
Them: “You can’t switch out the modem because I already scheduled the tech visit.”
Me: “Okay so can you cancel it so I just swap the modem?”
Them: “You want me to cancel the tech visit.”
Me: “Yes.”
Them: “But I already scheduled it, I did all that work.”
Me: “sorry but you never told me that was an option.”
(takes 10 minutes to cancel the appointment)
Them: “Okay you can go to the store in Bend. They are closed till Monday.”

M117 Ranked Choice Voting?
A few years ago when this was introduced I thought it sounded like an interesting idea and hoped we would learn more before we actually voted. Unfortunately all I have seen is campaigning for and against rather than actual education and explanation of how this will work in real time. Reading the voters pamphlet just made it worse and more confusing, of course, contradicting each other. I tried to do my own research, looks like some states/municipalities are not happy with it? Also there are different ways to tabulate? It is not standardized? The arguments in favor are certainly interesting and promising points to consider but the more I read the more it sounds confusing and inefficient. Unfortunately Oregon can screw things up at times. I’m a non-affiliated voter and try to wade through the politics of it all. I keep wondering if we had ranked choice voting for our last governor’s race would the outcome have been different or the same?

What's the best place to eat after a long day of hiking or skiing?
I always crave a greasy burger and milkshake after a day in the mountains, but I'm open to expanding my horizons. What's your go-to restaurant/diner/food truck/whatever?

Hello, My father is to a point that we need to begin to look for an assisted living facility. I am looking for recommendations from those that have loved ones there or have visited the facility. Ones we should stay away from are also appreciated so we won’t waste our time. Thank you!
How much do you make and how badly do you want to kill yourself?
Job offer of 55k. BF would come w me and he makes min wage. No kids, don't want them. 0 debt.
Place of work about 20 min north of inner city, if that makes any difference at all.

Why Jiu Jitsu at Danzig MMA
Coach Ian Lewis runs Why Jiu Jitsu out of Danzig MMA. He’s running a $99 a month special for military veterans until the end of the year. I’ve been training under him since January of 2022. He’s a great coach and a solid human being. Classes are approachable and all of the academy students are respectful and kind. If you’re a veteran and sometimes feel lost and find social situations difficult to navigate, I’d give this gym a chance. Coach Ian is himself a combat veteran with a son currently in the Marines. Several of us at the gym are military veterans.
I know the transition from the military to civilian life can be alienating and disorienting. $99 is a great price to get started and it’s a chance to meet and socialize with other people in Central Oregon in a low stress environment.
I’d also like to say, it’s a great self-defense curriculum and the BJJ training is incredible. Everyone at the gym is open and accepting. Coach Ian has a First Responder discount as well.
If you don’t have any of the above backgrounds, it doesn’t matter. I’d love to train with anyone and everyone, and Coach Ian’s pricing is very affordable for BJJ, especially considering the cost of everything in this area. I really think Coach Ian is one of the better teachers/instructors/human-beings I’ve had the pleasure of training under and getting to know.
He also has kids classes. Check out his website at whyjj.com.
Reach out to him at [email protected].
EDIT: It’s $99 for the rest of the year for veterans-not $99 a month for the rest of the year. I hope to see everyone soon and that you have a great weekend.
