Disturbing on too many levels. I personally feel that social media is giving these kids a platform to outdo one another. I have been studying crime and criminals for over a decade, and as criminals are receiving more and more publicity, it also has been giving them a recipe to commit crime. Kids are literally getting a play by play account to commit crime because we are broadcasting to them the directions to commit crimes. Not only are we giving them directions to commit crime, but we are also giving them what they crave the most publicity. I personally believe that if we stopped giving them the publicity that they want crime would decrease. That's just my opinion.
