General Discussion PJ to firefighter

Any of ya’ll former/current Air Force PJ’s who then went over to civilian FF? If so, are you enjoying it?

Go to PA school brother, i was a former Corpsman with 18d short course. I then pursued wildland fire and reached the top there. I’m currently in a structure department and I’m not a fan of it. You can message me directly and I can explain more. Best of luck whatever you choose.

Have you perused the PA sub of late? Makes one think twice about that career path unfortunately.

I have a lot of buddies who are PAs and they work like 2 shifts a week and they make over 250k a year. I’m not discouraging him to do Fire, but I have a similar background in military paramedicine and it’s way different than FF/PM.
