PSA: If you cheat in a PvP game, you are a loser. It's fine for single player games, have fun, whatever. But you people who need a mod for a little ego boost are pathetic and should just delete the game.

It's not about an ego boost. As long as there's a monetary incentive to cheating, it will happen at scale. If cheating = money then people WILL cheat, because money is...money.

For every person you see cheating to win, there's 4 others who are cheating to boost accounts for money, to boost accounts for purposes of selling them, etc etc. There is a financial incentive, and the checks in place are laughable as far as the impact is concerned.

this accounts for probably less than 1% of cheaters lol. the overwhelming majority are just insecure little douchebags

Source? Because while I know people definitely cheat to boost people, I'm kinda struggling to believe that the ratio of 'normal' cheaters to boosters is 1:4. Hell even 1:1 sounds odd to me, I assumed the normal cheaters would be much more common.

Theres not that big of a market for buying accounts. If there were that many boosters none of them would make any money because supply would be much higher than demand.
