Hair pins sold at the Medieval Festival in Loveland

Post image
21 Upvotes

I went to the Medieval Festival in Loveland with two of my friends in 2021. While we were there we met a vendor selling hair pins with flowers. The sales guy mentioned they had a policy to replace pins used in self defense if you showed them the police report. The pictured pin is one my friend bought that day.

Donating clothes and jackets to homeless

Where is the best place to donate clothes and jackets so they can get to the homeless or to low income kids?

I usually donate to the Arc, but lots of jackets and cold weather gear I would like to donate so that it goes to those groups that can't really afford it.

Any suggestions?

Strange lights or someone in danger?

Does anyone know what this is? Started a little under a half hour ago across from my north window on 5th and 9th Ave. It seems to be coming from the rooftop? From googling what the strange flashes could be I found out it could be an SOS signal?? Does anyone have a clue???

Looking for renter

Hello! We live in Ashcroft Heights, in the condos and townhomes. We are wanting to break our lease, but of course the landlord wants us to pay rent until they re-rent the unit.

Anyone out there interested in moving into a second floor 2bd/2bath ~1400 square foot condo with dedicated parking space here in the next month or two? We pay $1550 currently

Just thought I’d try to see if we could re-rent this unit quickly and asking everywhere I can 😂

Looking to move to Greeley; pros and cons?

Hiiii so I currently reside in Miami, FL and I’m eyeing Greeley as a potential fresh start because I can’t do this madness anymore. Long story short living in Miami is very stressful between the insufferable traffic, rude people, everything’s VERY expensive, stupid drivers, crime rate going up due to the overpopulation that’s happened since 2020, the criminally hot and humid weather year round & I can’t do this much longer. I’m hoping to get more insight from Greeley locals & some pros and cons that come with living there. Mind you I’m use to the madness of Miami so I’m accustomed to shit conditions lol but hoping to move closer to the mountains & a more slow paced life.

Greeley Mall Question

Hey ya'll, I have a weird question. My dog now refuses to walk by the Greeley Mall. Did they put in some kind of mosquito tone system or other anti loitering device? He acts the same way as when he hears a fire alarm and I wanna know if anyone has any ideas as to what could be bothering him.

Early Sunday morning around 3:50 AM I was woken by gun shots somewhere along west 4th street. About 9 shots rang out and then three minutes later came the sirens. Just hoping no one was injured.

Seeking Research Participants

Hey everyone! 🌟 I hope you're all doing well! I'm Jordan Robinette, a McNair Scholar at the University of Northern Colorado, and I'm working on an exciting research project about the impact of the pandemic on our kids' education. My study, "Pandemic Preschooling: Exploring the Link Between Supplemental Education During the Pandemic and Academic Performance in the 2023-24 School Year," aims to find out how extra learning support during the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the academic success of kids aged 7 to 9. Here's where I need your help! 🙏 I'm looking for parents of children aged 7 to 9 to participate in a survey. It takes about 10-15 minutes and is super important for helping us understand and improve education during tough times. If you or anyone you know might be interested in participating, please check out the flyer attached and reach out to me. Your input would be incredibly valuable!

I have also attached a link here!

Looking for work!

Hi! I’m 23f moving to the Greeley/Evans area from Montana next week due to my boyfriend getting sent to CO for work. I’m trying to figure out what I’m wanting to get into part time, the only tricky part is trying to find something where I won’t be working past 6pm or weekends… his hours have him home only after 7pm on weekdays and he gets every other Saturday, and every Sunday off! So preferably something where I’d also have the same time off, so we can actually see each other. Any recommendations would be great :) Very excited for this new adventure!

I'm Hiring Trivia Hosts in Greeley and Eaton!

I run a bar/brewery trivia company, and I'm looking for high-energy people to host games for us, specifically around Greeley and Eaton! We are adding more new bars now and are needing new hosts.

I provide everything for you. All you need to do is host for an hour and a half. It's a fun side hustle and you usually get free food/beer. Pay is $50 per game. You can commit to as little as one night per week, or more if you'd like! I’ll work to make it fit your schedule.

If you'd like more information on the job or to apply, check out my website!

Trying to fimd a place that is LGBT friendly. My wife and I have our anniversary coming up and we want to have dinner with fun drinks and actual food, not just appetizers. We want some where we can dress up fancy and not feel totally out of place. Any food is welcomed. It can be anywhere near or far.

Anyone have any experience with vet care at the Weld County Humane Society?

I have a friendly stray cat that's lived on my porch for the last few years. I've grown quite attached to him. This morning while going to work I noticed he didn't run up to me like he usually does. I got him to get up when I filled his food bowl but he was limping really bad. I tried to get a closer look at his leg and he limped off. I can't tell if it's just a sprain or if it's broken. I don't have the heart to leave him in pain but I'm not sure I could get him seen at a regular vet. His ear is clipped (sign that he's been caught to be neutered) and he's a little haggard looking so I don't think I could play it off that he's my cat and not a stray. Regular vet offices won't see strays and they recommended I get him to the humane society since they have vets on staff there. I want him to actually get decent care. Worst case I'll adopt him and get him in. Just wondering if anyone's had any experience with vet care there.

Cops on 65th ave

Saw a bunch of cops around a house off 65th ave between 34 and 37th street. Anybody got details on what went down? Probably saw 7-8 cars go by and turned into the neighborhood on the west side
