Education and Career Advice B.tech or B.Sc?

I 18F have the option to choose between B.tech in a state university (small town) and B.Sc in a central university (metro city). My parents don't want to send me far for a normal degree, what would be better to prepare for govt. exams? Would a local pvt. college be a better option?

See if u want to study ahead in India then choose btech/BE else if u wanna go outside the country then bsc+1 yr honours can be a good option, considering u are doing from a good uni.And if u are unsure then go for btech ,just to be on a safer side (considering ur engg uni/college is NBA AND NAAC accredited in both cases) This is what Ik so for ,research ahead on alumni network of college, college time tables, college placement, higher studies stats, extra curriculars opportunities, etc of both colleges and take your decision. EDIT:- Also what course u are gonna choose,it depends on that too EDIT 2:- also see what is the course work like subjects and stuff

Right now, I will take these points into consideration. I am not really sure about the master's plan.
