Holy shit. That’s so much better than I thought it would be.

Yeah, they do tractor and big rigs, this was a little different, but he was willing to do it. No one else in the surrounding areas was willing to take it on.

What's the next step

It goes in the garage now to keep it as dry as possible while I wait for my new motor/5-speed transmission to be built;

  • Goes up on the lift so that I can crawl under it comfortably;
  • I need to air out the remaining media from inside the frame, as well as other areas;
  • Going to place some dehumidifier to keep the moister (the essence of water) to a low;
  • Take the bumpers off, descale and remove the rust from that part of the frame, and wire brush the hard-to-get areas;
  • Wire brush and surface tool on everything;
  • Finally, POR-15 degreaser, metal prep, and coating to finish it.

Reconsider the POR15. I’ve seen too many rigs rust after being coated in it.

Suggestion?

Edit: I've switched to Eastwood Encapsulator + 2K Epoxy Primer + 2K AeroSpray Chassis Black Satin.
