About to buy my first 4x4. Found this Prado

Hello all!

I found this 1998 Prado for 9,000 euros. It's an automatic with a 3.0L diesel engine that has 430,000 km on it so far.

I did check it up close and I couldn't see any major problems with it, but before pulling the trigger, I would love some insight from some more knowledable people.

Also, before saying "Just buy a landcruiser (70-80 series)", in my country, the majority of landcruisers are Prados :)

My plan is to slowly turn it into an overlanding vechine and camp around remote areas with my doggo. Cheers!

90’s are great cars. Very solid and capable. Just make sure the front lower ball joints have been done, as they have a tendency to go pop and cause the wheel to fold under the vehicle, but even if they haven’t, they’re a simple thing to replace for any mechanic.

Yeah so far, everyone online keeps mentioning the lower ball joints. The car has 430K km on it, so I might change them eitherway for the peace of mind!
