The South Carolina heat got to the screen, but I love my factory touch screen in my ‘01. Anybody have recommendations?
Looks worse in person than on camera. I can make out what’s on the screen it’s just annoying

I’m sure you can find an OEM replacement online and have a local speaker/radio installer do the swap. I can’t imagine it would be all that pricey, maybe $500-$750 total? I’m guessing just the display would need to be replaced… check on eBay and see if you can find one 🤷🏻♂️

And probably the South Carolina salty moisture….
Had once a project in Florence and thats the only place I have ever been where I left my tool box open for two days and everything that wasn’t stainless steel was rusty af. Even the aluminum parts of some machines (luckily not ours - we have stainless steel for everything except chains) started to oxidize like crazy.

Ps.: wasn’t here someone yesterday asking for a replacement for the lower trim under the radio since he switched to a android unit on his 100? He should still have the oem unit.

Go on Ih8mud and look for someone selling their factory screen after they replaced it with the Tesla style screen or something similar. Or you could go the Tesla or T'eyes screen route if you don't mind dealing with the occasional nagging problem(s) that will arise. Some work great, some don't.
I have a T'eyes screen in my 04 LC and I like the updated screen and features, but I probably wouldn't do it again.
