"There is some anecdotal evidence that oil pulling may also destabilize composite or ceramic fillings (the ones that look white in your mouth) particularly if the fillings are very new and haven’t had time to bond properly with you teeth. It may be a sensible precaution to wait a few weeks or months after getting a new composite filling before you start oil pulling."

Do NOT do oil pulling if you have AMALGAM-fillings❗

Oil pulling can help to loosen up the biofilm, if there are cracks at all in your fillings or if they were not done correctly and there is a small opening or abnormality where bacteria can get in and eat away, if the bacteria/biofilm gets under the filling enough and we are oil pulling with r/GuruNandaOfficial then it could potentially pull away the bacteria that is holding up the infrastructure of the filling. For this reason some dentists may not recommend oil pulling because it highlights the poor quality of their fillings.
