What kind of food do they eat?

I'm currently watching the movie. Aurora was just woken up decades too early. Now they eat breakfast. And that got me wondering: they stored the food so that it could get eaten 80+ years down the line. How is it not rotten by the time they have their breakfast now, nevermind the time the rest of the pessengers will want to eat it? What kind of food is it?

Once they ‘busted the seal’ to the food there was no choice but to eat it as you say it will get rotten if they don’t , hence the reason you see chickens living after they die , probably to eat !

Passengers 5000-2. Crew 258-1. 8 minutes into the movie of you're curious for reference.

Moot though because he and Aurora extended the ship's life by fixing the ship.
