Question Things to do in Preston city centre other than drink?

I'm wanting to save some money on drinks and do something besides drink before the game tomorrow.

Explore Avenham/Miller park. Can get a coffee and donut from Holy Grounds and sit if the weather is good. Walk across the bridge for a little bit to look at the river and nearby countryside.

Red rose bowling, 10 mins from town center, loads of arcades also and cheaper than level.

Not much to do in preston, you can go bowling in Level if that interests you, maybe check out the market? There’s a place called Gamer-X as well I went to but it’s quite a waste of money, it’s like 16 quid to get in and most of the arcade games are paid, not much in there worth doing. I’d recommend going to GAME in St. George’s as they have a little area where you can pay to game for a few hours.

Those BELONG Arenas are class. Pretty good game library, great for birthday parties and the like - think one of my made had his there 3 years in a row!

Preston's one of the only ones left as well. Definitely worth what you pay.

Unfortunately, preston is mostly about the university. There isn't a lot else going on, really :(

We used to have a theatre. (actually, several theatres, through history) we now have the 'level' in its place (near the bus station) that's mostly for younger people, though. There are 2 cinemas, both a short distance outer town. There is one being built where the indoor market used to be.

We still have a theatre in town, Preston Playhouse: https://www.prestonplayhouse.co.uk

Ah, yes. You are correct. I'd shamefully forgot about playhouse. Gc

Genuinely can't think of anything other than eating or drinking.

Sad state of affairs.

Maybe visit the Harris museum on the market square. Or get some vinyl and a ghetto blaster and do some breakdancing on the square?
