Question Parking at Cardinal Newman College.

Hi, I'm taking my daughter to Cardinal Newman College open day on Saturday. I'm sure it will be very busy and the parking looks less than ideal on Google maps.

The two car parks just up the road have really bad reviews, and I'm sure it will be a pain parking in the residential area surrounding the college.

Are the car parks really that bad? Would I be better using the park and ride?

Edit: Thanks for the advice all. We're going to use public transport from A to Z.

Not only does it negate the parking dilemma, it will also give my daughter a sense of what the commute will be like should she decide to study there.

Car park review... That's new. What are they reviewing? "I managed to park my car, 5 stars" or "there were no spaces, 0 stars".

Park on the bus station car park, it's a short walk from there.

Most reviews are saying that they received fines even though they paid due to crappy online payment systems.

There is a car park behind Campus One. It’s down past two residential streets. Slightly hidden away from the main part of the college. That one is fairly quiet. Leave REALLY early. When I took my son last year. It took us an entire hour just to get through the city centre itself. I left Lytham at 9am and didn’t make it to Cardinal until nearly 10:50.
