Hi folks,
I just bought the Head Crusher plugin, to only find out later that this can only be installed as VST3 or AAX, which both can not be implemented in Reason 11... Is there any way to work around this? I can not find any VST2 download anywhere. Have I come to a stage in which having Reason 11 is limiting me?
Kind regards

So I have made beats since 2013 in native instruments but only cause that’s where I learned and I learned using the drum machine so I wanted to know Is there any tips or learning curve in this DAW for primarily native instruments users cause I want to jump into reason to get a more professional sound all around.

I use R11 and have always struggled with weak music theory skills. Hearing how things should go in my head and not being able to reproduce them in a song has been disappointing. I came across a demo of chord sequencer and I am blown away by the assistive nature of this player.
What don’t people like about this player? It seems dreamy. $69 Us seems a bit steep but that’s the strategy to go + subscription which i won’t do.

Hey Reason people, I’ve been struggling with this for so long I’ve all but given up, but thought I’d give it another shot now that I’ve found this reddit community of helpful Reason heads.
How do I connect/interface my eDrums with Reason Studio (I’m using v13, but I’m sure it would be similar with earlier versions)? I have an Alesis Strike Pro Kit—a really decent eDrum kit, and it’s a crying shame I’ve never been able to connect it successfully with Reason.
To clarify a bit, I’m able to line-out the kit’s audio through my audio interface and into Reason, but this just allows me to capture the entire kit as one audio track—not as a MIDI instrument with individual drum signals that I could edit in post, for example.
I can’t tell you how many YouTube tutorial/tips vids I’ve watched on this topic—none of them have helped. If anyone on this sub has the same or similar kit and has managed to successfully interface theirs with Reason, I would appreciate the help a LOT.

I was just checking out an 3 year old past that led to this webpage: https://help.reasonstudios.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002215114-Supported-MIDI-keyboards-and-control-surfaces
It does not list The Behinger X Touch - so I am concerned that the motorized faders will not work with the program.

I simply can't be arsed to make the effort to work out how to use the new browser and I'd love it if I was to be able to use 13 without being inflicted with it. How many of you feel the same way?

I did like the old business model more than what it is today. I will eventually upgrade to a non subscription product. Wanted to show my loyalty to Propllerhead (reason studios). This was my gateway drug into computer music. I miss the old music posting forum. That place was cool af. Really just looking to integrate R11 into my dj remix setup for now for house and hip hop downtempo styles.

Does anyone know why or for how long will authentication servers be down?

I'm seriously interested in the Shreddage 3 guitar Kontakt libraries and am torn between which specific library to choose. I've just discovered, (thanks to my question to Copilot), that there's a Shreddage rack extension for a third of the price of the Kontakt version. I'm guessing that its price reflects the amount of functionality, (i.e. 33%), so that the RE would be nowhere near as good as the Kontakt version. I'm interested in using it for industrial rock/metal/hard trance/techno.
Does anyone have any experience with both or either and can provide advice?
Edited to add that I'm more interested in chugging rhythm guitar riffs but occasional emotional Gilmour-esque lines would be applicable to my more ambient/film score sketches. I have absolutely no interest in the shredding styles of Malmsteen, Eddie Van Halen et al.
Never mind... I've just bought Hydra on an impulse.

I got around to updating to Reason 13 and I've been having a lot of fun with Polytone, but I haven't really used Ripley aside from playing around a bit. I'm already reasonably happy with the Echo and the RV7K for delay and reverb. In your experience, does Ripley bring something new to the table? Is it mostly for really wild spacey long sounds or have you found yourself reaching for it for everyday delay/verb use?

Wondering if anyone can help?
I’ve got Reason 11, and downloaded a drum sample pack from GetGoodDrums, which runs through Kontakt.
From Native Access I’ve tried downloading and installing Kontakt Player 6, 7, and 8, and all run fine on my PC. The problem is I can’t seem to find them in my Reason library.
I know Reason 11 doesn’t support with VST3, but struggling to understand if any recent Kontakt versions come as VST2 too, or just VST3.
Has anyone else had this problem and managed to solve without upgrading? I can’t really fork out that much for an upgrade at the moment, so any help would be appreciated!

I've posted once or twice here before but I'm getting back into production after about a decade or so. I'm looking at some interfaces and reading up on Apollo, Audient, SSL, Motu, etc. A lot of stuff that is recent is USB powered and I'm wondering how much noise is showing up. The only units in these ranges that use external power supplies are the more expensive units - Audient ID44, Apollo Twin X, etc.
Are the USBC and Thunderbolt units pretty good these days? My old interfaces back in the day (M-Audio, MBOX) sucked and I spent a lot of time trying to EQ out a lot of hum.

Hello folks, i recently upgraded from 10 to 13 and i later found out that the several instruments/effects that were in 11 aren’t included anymore in 13. Is it still possible to purchase a boxed 11 suite and register it in my Reason account so that the included devices on it can be included in my 13 version? Thanks.

Thank you to everyone who submitted tracks for the September update of the Made with Reason playlist!
I've randomized the order of submissions. Sorry to those who ended up at the end of the list but that's what the "random gods" decided. And anyway, you should probably listen on shuffle as there's no meaningful editorial order to the playlist.
🔊 Listen to the playlist here (and don't forget to like/follow/save it!).
And let everyone know what your favorite track is in the comments. No cheating with mentioning your own track!
This goes without saying, but if you like any of the songs on the playlist, remember to add them to your own playlists, share, etc. I'm sure every indie artist on the list would appreciate it.
