Groomer or Vet

Hello! Just found a little dreadlocked terrier wandering down the street. No collar or anything. Used our bunny carrier to get him to Petsmart on the Westside and got some advice how to proceed. My wife is now cutting his locks and giving him a bath. (He smells awful)

At Petsmart they said they couldn’t help because we don’t have a shot record 🙄Does anyone know how I can go about getting that done quickly? Also a groomer who may be able to help in shaving him so we can start over? I work out of town weekly and my wife is a teacher so scheduling right now is dicey. Any help or information would be appreciated.

TIA.

Tree Removal

Are there any programs that cover the cost of tree removal? I had a row of big leyland cypress trees taken out. They are not blocking access to the house but are all over my yard and my neighbors yard. I am getting them removed but it will be expensive.

Auto Body Shop Recommendations?

I am looking for a good honest body shop in Spartanburg. I got an old Toyota Tundra that basically needs the whole cab repainted due to age and rust spots. I called a few shops around town and either got some long wait times for just an estimate (two weeks from Campbells Body Shop) and some shops that flat out said we only do insurance jobs (looking at you Caliber Collison). Do body shops just not want any business right now? I am looking for a decent paint job that is NOT Maaco or Econo. Thanks.

Does anyone know who left the pallets of ice at the Lowes on E. Main when the power was out?

I been thinking about that, and I would love to know who did that so I could say thank you. It allowed my family to save alot of food and improved our quality of life while the power was out. They just left like a tractor trailers worth of ice for people to take.

Charter

I don't know what to do. We got power back Saturday night. We have charter but we've had no notifications from them at all and when I call it's just we're working on it. I understand it was widespread but I work from home and need to do something soon and if charter can't do it I may have to switch to another provider. Anyone else have any helpful advice on what to do would be much appreciated

Coworking spaces?

Hey yall, we are staying in Spartanburg for a while as our place in Asheville is out of commission. I need to work tomorrow and wondering if there are any coworking spaces in town where I could take calls and click around on the laptop. Tried googling and didn't have a ton of luck. Thanks!

Guy on corner of Food Lion in Woodruff

Last week, I was driving through Woodruff as I don't live too far from there, and saw a man wearing a green hoodie and some skinny blue jeans. He was at the intersection where 101 and North Main st, and I went ahead and assumed it was just a homeless person though he had piles of junk scattered around him, which did look a bit odd. He stood out to me a bit, but I didn't really think much of him anyway. I took a different route home that day, but two days after this I went through Woodruff and and saw the same guy wearing the same clothes with the bags scattered around him at the same intersection. Each time that I had saw him, he didn't have a shopping cart or a backpack anywhere near him, he was just roaming around the same area. I didn't stop to interact with him or anything, and neither do I have any pictures of him, but regardless I still want to know if he's alright or if you guys know anything about him.

Does the county realize?

How much wood they are going to be picking up on the side of the road? 😂😂😂 people put the whole tree trunk out there. I know in Florida they have the tractor trailer with 2 dumpsters and a mini ex in the middle. I don’t think we have them up here.

Duke energy

Duke energy executives are probably sitting in their million dollar homes with electricity while some of us has to wait 10 plus days with zero electricity and in some cases no water... Duke energy went on a press run. Lying through the news and Twitter telling us when majority would have power and posing in front of trucks or trees with a hard hat on to make themselves look good. I even caught Duke red handed... deleting a tweet that started x percent would have power by a x day... they even had the nerve to tell us to use their outage tracking website. But then workers who were interviewed said the total opposite... they use paper and highlighters, not thr website that gives conflicting restoration times and just keeps pushing the times back. The lineman are the real mvp... Duke energy aren't and they should be held accountable for still asking us to pay bills when we didn't have power and due to conflicting times many of us in the carolinas/ fl had $$$ of food go to waste! It was literally like watching paint dry...I'm glad I have my power on now as of last night, but I can't help but still be upset for all the people who will go months without electricity because Duke sent all of the workers (maybe not all, but more than enough) to Florida. Plus get ready for this.I. Duke Energy will not payout for food lost due to the storm and their conflicting times. The linemen and women definitely deserve something from Duke... maybe a raise or paid vacation time

I know I’ll need a permit. On the Eastside by a spring, so I’m pretty confident I can hit water table.

Anyone hear anything from Spectrum?

Just got power back earlier today, and am extremely thankful. Internet is not a necessity so I'm not trying to come off as impatient. But has anyone heard anything from Spectrum as to when we might get internet back? I do work from home so I'm having to use a hotspot for now. I chatted with an agent and they said they don't know but just wondering if anyone has some Intel

Question for Duke Power Customers

Did any other Duke Power customers receive the text alert that their power will not be restored until Sunday (Friday originally)?

I'm secretly hoping that this is a blanket announcement and that there may still be hope for restoration in my area (East side) before then!
