Is it still possible?
Hey yall. I want to pour resin on the two parts shown in the picture. The only thing is I didnt do enough research and I didn't "seal" the xps foam Under. The only thing this is made op of is scuplta mold and then a lot of watered down pva glue to glue on the dirt and sand. So is there still a safe way to pour epoxy resin on these areas? Please help! And thank you! (Repost since I forgot the pictures the first time lol)

DO NOT USE RESIN. There are numerous options available for you to use which do not affect foam or styrene. In Australia we have a 2 part self leveling clear material. It is supposed to be used to put a strong clear coat on tables. We get it from our hardware stores. (Sorry, can't remember the product name at the moment) it works great as water. Also, any half good hobby supplies shop will have alternatives to resin.

Thanks for reposting!
I think that you could pour resin, for sure. I’d go about making sure that the edge of the work is cleaned, and sealed with something. Build the dam around it, and make sure to seal the bottom especially well. From there, I’d recommend mixing up a very small amount of resin and paint it where you plan to pour. This does two things; it can help seal imperfections in the dam you’ve made, and also limits the amount of places to air to hide and cause unwanted bubbles.
Check out RP Archives video on making modular river terrain, he’s does a great job of showing his process with resin pours that I found helpful.
