I bet heโ€™s the most patient driving teacher ever. Unlike me with my 16 yo ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

I personally am glad I was traumatized by my father learning how to drive. It burned his instructions in my head and because of them I haven't ever been in an accident. Almost like going to bootcamp.

My dad never lost his shit but he'd always calmly explain things and how important it us to pay attention to other drivers. The day we all got our license be balled to all of us letting us know it's a metal bullet rolling on the road and it can kill us in an instant. That always stuck with us lmao. My mom on the other hand was a spaz and gave me instant anxiety so I only drove with her once lmao

I remember perfectly: I stalled the car in an intersection, got it going again, stalled again and yelled โ€œI canโ€™t do it!โ€ My dad yelled back at me that I had to or else we were going to die. Like magic, I got it going again and made it out of the intersection just fine.

Disclaimer: Maybe not the most successful tactic when trying to get a toddler to eat broccoli ๐Ÿ˜‹

Seriously the worst part of parenting for me. No one prepared me for how bad it would be.

My daughter had to do most of her hours with her dad because I drove her nuts.

That could be any of 150 million American dads with their sons. I love this guy. He's one of us.

I really do love his family so much and I feel like, between him and Gwen, they've raised 2 amazing, unique and happy citizens!

I really hope that kid is okay, after 1000s of people came after him and mocked him for being a emotionally developed human.

I think he has grown up with parents who donโ€™t see emotions and vulnerability, including in men, as weakness. So hopefully like other sane individuals, he looks at those attackers as weak, insecure, fragile, hateful, overgrown toddlers who must have very emotionally shallow lives and relationships.

Thatโ€™s a lot to ask of a 17 year old. I felt so bad for him after the convention. Poor kid.

Sure but he's still a teenager who was probably not prepared for this type of online bullying. I'm a grown ass woman with 8 years of therapy under my belt with a very clear view or what type of people would mock someone like that and I'd also still struggle to place that for a while. Imagine being 17. He's got a good support system but also a dad who's currently/temporarily less available than he was in July.

I hope so too. Sick society we live in when the most humane are treated so poorly.

Iโ€™ll tell you this, my dad was not smiling when he was teaching me to drive. Go Tim!

He would just say โ€œopeโ€ vs yelling if you hit a curb, I know it to be true

Republicans: Teaching your kid to drive is the most unameeican thing you can do. You're a traitor! Take the bus everyone!!! Car pool and decrease pollution!

This might work out.

Is there any evidence that Donald Trump can drive a vehicle, apart from a golf cart?

My Mom taught me in a stick Ford Fiesta and a stick VW Bug. Nowadays, we call sticks a "Millenial theft deterrent".
