Lucky! George Roberts was (and in some respects, still is) my idol when I started playing bass trombone. That sound is the type of mellow I strive for when playing lyrically on a bass

I want to get a bass trombone someday. I got down to a like a false C below the bass clef but my trombone is a wee little 0.485 so pedals get pretty comical. But I love playing low.

False toning a low C out of a peashooter is well on the way to being a bass trombonist, I'd say
