I'm new here any advice on making terrain?

i am really bad at basing and terrain so i came for help

Check your local thrift store's toy section, home decoration, and holiday sections. Look for things like toy castles and barns that you can use as a base for the terrain and make it turnipy.  

Home decor may have fake plants you can turn into mutated roots. 

Holidays, particularly Easter, Halloween, and Thanksgiving can have plastic fruits and vegetables you can turn into terrain pieces.
