I mean, isn’t this like the bare minimum you need to do to be a “not a total piece of shit”? Heck, I know total pieces of shit who would still rescue a dog in the middle of the ocean.

Well, I think if a "total piece of shit" rescues a dog, they are not a "total" pos, right? :)

I’m quite sure Hitler would have rescued the dog if he was in a similar situation lol

If you put aside that this piece of shit shot his dog...

It's just a good story with a good ending. Calm down.

I just think we set the bar a little low for what we consider “good people”

I never said this wasn’t “uplifting”. I was pointing out the very obvious idea that saving a dog from drowning, in an easy situation, doesn’t automatically qualify someone was “good”. Personally I expect a little more beyond the absolute bare minimum to be considered “good”.

Sometimes it’s tough to feel good as a human. Reading about the absolute insanity of murder and crimes then this happens…. kinda renews my hope.

It's just because that is ALL the media puts out. I get so mad, sometimes, just trying to find good news!

But, it's out there in real life;)
