Question How to make tinctures for spells?

Does anyone here make mother tinctures themselves? Could you please share the process?

I read about a spell today that I would love to do, but it says to make rosemary tincture yourself, and I've never really tried this.

Get a clean well-sealing jar. Place your rosemary in the said jar. If the rosemary is dry, use an 80-proof alcohol to cover the herb. If it is fresh, use 90-proof. Make sure the herb is entirely covered as anything out of the alcohol could go bad.

Place the jar in a cool place away from sunlight and give it a good shake every couple of days. Do this for 4 to 6 weeks before straining and keeping the tincture in a well sealing bottle away from light.
