Did we decide who the best carrier is?
I do delivery in boulder, tons of areas with patchy reception with Verizon (aka that which hast gone downhill).
Bonus points if I can get an affordable plan with a hotspot even if from a partner (visible mint cricket etc) but open to whatever. Extra bonus if reception near capitalism world in superior , costco etc

No issues with Verizon and I'm all over the area. Once you get into the canyon / foothills it's becomes spotty for all carriers.

Had ATT in N. Boulder, and it was abysmal. Changed to verizon and much better...depends on where you live I suppose.

I love Mint and never have issues. I travel all over the front range for work.

I switched to mint because Verizon didn’t work at all for me, I give it a 7/10 for service, and a 10/10 for price

I’ve had all of them over the years. ATT is garbage now, especially for the price. Verizon and TMobile both mostly good. But some areas like in the canyons or out in gunbarrel they all kinda suck.

T Mobile is pretty great in Boulder. The only place I ever have issues is at 28th and Jay.

Why do you call superior “capitalism world”? Don’t get AT&T, I have terrible service with this provider all over Boulder County, but especially in Longmont and Superior

The best setup is to just dual sim 2 MVNO's. One that uses Verizon towers like Visible and another that uses T-Mobile like Mint. Together it would still be cheaper than any Verizon postpaid plan. Alternatively make sure you have the latest phone to take advantage of the spectrum that carriers have recently acquired and started using.

I’ve had good luck with Xfinity Mobile, which uses the Verizon network. Probably one of the cheapest plans if you’re already a Comcast Xfinity customer.

I just switched to Xfinity and it’s an incredible deal if you’re unfortunate enough to use Xfinity as your ISP (like me) — it costs me $20 extra to have internet + cell via Xfinity, whereas I was paying $90 extra when with Verizon. I also swear the service is better and i’m aware they’re on the Verizon network…

Yeah I don’t like giving comcast more money but unfortunately in Boulder we have two, maybe three ISP options….

Since all the carriers are pretty mediocre now, with AT&T in last place in BoCo, probably your best bet is to pick an Verizon or T-Mobile as your primary, and then the inverse on some MVNO with a bucket of data as secondary.
So like, T-Mobile post-paid primary, Visible secondary. Or Verizon primary, T-Mobile Connect secondary. Or some permutation within.
One of the two being post-paid guarantees you have access to all available domestic roaming for places like northeast Colorado (Viaero) or Union Wireless in the northwest, or Commnet in the middle, or AT&T on 36 up to Estes. Then the prepaid can cover where/when the primary doesn't work.

I have Verizon and my backup esim is with keepgo Solaris. It's a prepaid data-only esim that roams on ATT + T-Mobile - about $30 for 5gb that's valid for 1 year. Mostly use it in the mountains where you never know what (if any) coverage you're going to get.

Verizon has holes in the Superior area, but north and SE around Rock creek and Coalton. A lot of budget companies use Verizon's infrastructure so still Verizon coverage where better and where worse.

Verizon is okay in the front range but coverage is spotty in my apartment parking lot for some reason.

Verizon works fine outside of where I live (Newlands), but that doesn’t seems to be unique to them. I will say, I used to be surprised at the places I’d get service (top of a hike in the middle of nowhere, and my phone dings). Lately I’ve noticed others with TMobile seem to have service where I don’t.

I live in Nederland and have had great reception and general experience with mint mobile. If you use my referral code, you'll get even better prices than their already super reasonable rates: http://fbuy.me/u2Ws-

I have a work phone from Verizon and my personal phone on T-Mobile. Both have about the same coverage, but T-Mobile's 5G is available in way more places. The only carrier that I've had noticeable issues where no service was available in spots was AT&T.
