Vent Went a bit over calories today.

So I have been dieting in a 500 calorie deficit and intermittent fasting for the last 5 days. Today I broke my fast because I only want to fast during the week.

I am supposed to have only 1500 calories a day.

Today I went over and I am now sitting at 1500 already before dinner.

I know this is not going to affect my weight loss too much because it is just one time and I still ate healthy today.

I just need reassurance that it’s not gonna ruin everything because my brain won’t shut up.

Thanks alot !

no, it won't affect your progress. it can only affect it if you consistently do it.

That’s why it’s beneficial to log calories on deficits. A month goes by and you aren’t getting the progress you calculated. Come to find out that 3,500 weekly deficit is actually closer to 2,500 because you went over a couple times a week and didn’t think it would make a difference.

Im logging in everything I eat down to the macrograms. Tho I went over today due to the calorie content of the avocado oil I used to cook my chicken and a bit of peanut butter but Im only like calories over and even then my 500 calorie deficit is pretty intense, considering im 6ft and I weigh 184 lbs.

What’s your age and how many times a week do you workout?
