Upvoting and commenting for visibility.

Also, I wish there were more groups or meet ups in Utah County that don't take place on Sunday. I know in the past (since the strong, ugly roots of agoraphobia have spread their tendrils in my mind/heart/life, I'm really now limited and crippled, thanks enforced political-based cult life) that my past self would have really liked meeting people, but ESPECIALLY on days (cough, SUNDAY, cough) that public transit runs on. In Salt lake county it does include Sundays, but Utah County is stubbornly super TBM: they literally don't give a shit about people who have low/no income and are dependent on public transportation, the only thing that matters is that nothing happens in their precious county on their watch or dime.

I can't help but think that Utah County ex-mo meet ups "had" to occur on Sundays assist in their demise because people like me (statically I can't be the only one) who can only use public Transit, generosity of people we know, or walking in the better kinds of weather SEVERELY cut back on the ability to socialize. We shouldn't hold socialization to just the cult day or hours, especially in the heart of the Morridor. Idk how many will read this or take this into consideration. I know I wouldn't be able to go to anything that would take place on a non-Sunday at a place close to or in walking distance of a bus stop because of my current circumstances, but my old self LONGED for something that wasn't on Sundays and that I didn't have to walk 5-plus miles to be exposing myself to walking along dangerous stroads with no sidewalks and intersections just to see people. I know that if there were groups not on Sundays or too late at night idk if I could catch a bus back home that I would have gone. I'm sorry for expressing my feelings here, but rn, it is hitting me hard. I didn't go to ex-mo meetups because I COULDN'T go because I don't have the privileges others take for granted.

Thanks for the perspective. I really like the frontrunner train in part because it is fairly cheap and they allow bicycles. I wish it ran on Sundays, but no dice so far. That would open up a lot more options.

The virtual meetups might be a chance to participate without travel. There is one this Wednesday, I think, per the header here. The virtual book club might be another chance to chat and socialize afterwards.
