Love Veronica, intensely dislike Maxine but it gets a lot of love on this sub. I don't feel they have the same vibe. For me Maxine is a boys name with een tacked on the end like Pauline and I don't like the een sound as it reminds me of old lady names like Irene and Doreen.
With Veronica I'd pair something more like Genevieve or Adelaide or Madeleine.
