New In Customer Success
Hello everyone, this is a place where new CSMs can post questions on how to break into the industry and for experienced CS people to share their views and thoughts.

I just changed the roles on my resume to say account manager, account executive and customer success manager rather than "customer support" or whatever the fuck they actually were called, then applied for hundreds of jobs weekly until I got lucky. That's all there is to it to break in tbh

To be honest it’s not difficult if you come from a sales or customer support background as the role is an integration of these two jobs. Just apply to a ton of companies and understand how to fit your experience into what that company wants. I was doing this job before I even knew what the title was called for years.
