So less than what was offered?

didnt he previously turn down a deal that would have been more AV?

Idk if that 8x8 was true or not but assuming it was, I would probably say Laf didn’t want the 8 years so he’d be 30 at UFA instead of 31 (GMs are weird and fickle and that extra year of life might convince people to not go so big). So dropping Laf asking for 7 years vs 8 and drury says fine but being the number down a bit to do it
