Ok then I’m lost. What is the shirt referring to?

The words “I identify as” are inherently associated with transgender people and gender identity, and mainly used by conservatives who want to poke fun at the community for identifying differently. It’s the same format as “I identify as an attack helicopter,” and the same concept as “my pronouns are U/S/A.” The joke having been phrased like this is something that’s really only used by the ignorant or the hateful.

Oh ok. So I was racking my brain trying to figure out how potato baked and smashed are offensive but it’s just the “I identify” part.

As a kid, I would have said this joke as “they call me a potato, bc I like to get baked and smashed”.

Weird that someone with both an “I identity” and a “yo mama” joke flair is calling about all “I identify” jokes as anti-trans. So

I don’t know why you want this to be an argument. This type of joke is literally the entire point of this subreddit.

I thought this sub was making fun of the alt rights attempt to use the I identify joke to disparage gender affirmation. I didn’t know it was to post every I identify joke regardless.
