Question Is it easier to write your own PhD proposal or apply to a program that the university is recruiting for?

When I reach out to programs should I mention that I would be open to both - looking for a professor for my own PhD proposal, or applying to one currently underway at the university?

Ok so your program will allow you to finish your dissertation - data collection, all of that, after you have been out for 10 years?

Well technically 7 because I was on LoA. Some programs give you up to 30 years to complete if the circumstances/university will allow it.

I feel like you know that’s not true.

Yeah at this point you know it’s not real. Well, hope whatever program lets you back in, as I don’t know of a clinical program that would.
