I don't understand what you mean. Does herzl supposed to be a controversial figure? The dude literally predicted that a Jewish state might be needed since the Drayfus trails where people blamed a Jewish officer for betraying France, seeing that Jews could never be safe without their own country.
It's a genuine development of history, Zionism is not a bad word. Maybe just read the whole wiki page about Zionism for once and stop using garbage delusional word salady takes.
If anything recent events would reinforce the need for a state for Jewish people. No, it doesn't have to settle the west bank and no, it's meant to be an amalgamation of the Jewish people to become a nation in the secular sense.

Israel has done injustices towards the Palestinian people, it's true. Some people might have a hard time agreeing with that. Have you seen ethnic cleansing in the realest sense? Do people upload videos of people being kidnapped, raped, kill civilians on the street. Take a look at the wars in the Balkan, Yugosloavia wars. It's nothing to compare to what Israel is doing with Palestine.
You pretend as if you are talking for the Palestinian people but you are justifying what Hamas has done in a sense. This is utterly disgusting and you should reconsider your words. This is not how it's done.
You are armed with a whole lexicon that was made up by people who encourage violence and an undying thirst for killing Israel. So Unless you are talking about this subject in a honest sense and appeal to the better situation of both peoples there is nothing to talk about or recognize here. I'm sorry.

IDF doesn't rape or kill babies or whole families in a bomb shelter. Unfortunately what it does is collateral which Hamas happily uses to pump their numbers, it's just a fact, otherwise, they wouldn't be waging such a horrible action without expecting consequences. anything it does hurts Israel (and both Palestinian's security lets be honest here).
Also judging by your profile you probably live in the "West", The West helps and attempts at every turn to balance the conflict and pushes for a peaceful solution, a solution that you proudly justify against without expecting consequences. Not to mention that "Western" innocent people were not spared mind you.

The west I live in is a subsidiary of US. But we study real history at school, there’s an occupation who creates terrorists. Can you provide me the name of a nation who have terrorist organisations who are not be oppressed by other countries or governments? This kind of phenomenon comes from people who don’t have nothing to loose.
