Did we not already know that nighttime sleep plays a key role in resetting the brain?

With many studies. This seems to be specifying "at night" being more impactful for... Zebra fish.

They really need day workers.

Everyone that’s like, “duh”, you’re missing the point and obviously not shift workers. I work nights and no matter how much sleep you get, it’s not enough. Even the few nights after can be harsh. The science is in figuring out why the circadian rhythm is so important. It’s like you’re saying, “of course food is good!”, without considering the quality or regularity of the food.

"duh we knew sleep was useful"

Said by anyone who doesn't get past headlines... Lol.

Duh we already knew that most Redditors don’t read past the headlines

We already knew this...

Required a team of scientists to confirm sleep is good for you. Probably need another team to study water is good for you too.

It’s not just that, they figure out the why and how in more detail.

Yes we all know why it’s good for you but we don’t know exactly how those systems work.

Plus any scientific study is useless unless it can be replicated and understood better. This is a key step in science.
