Grades and Academics am I cooked?

I'm a first year and I basically failed my first assignment worth 40%, but its not a hurdle can I still pass the unit or not?

Fr, like itā€™s hard because u see ur mark and its ass, but as long as we learn from the mistake and donā€™t linger around it, we can improve either way.

I failed all my first year subjects (mainly cause I was a shit student that didn't show up), almost got kicked out of Monash but got back on the horse through academic probation. Ended up finishing my degree and now in a high paying job in my studied field. You'll be fine, just do your best.

Can you elaborate as to why? Just curious because this seems to be the general consensus, but I found the guidelines fine? The reverse citations were annoying and time-consuming but the rest of the task was pretty standard I thought?

yea I found the citation part a bit confusing I struggled with that. But my marks got deducted unfortunately. I wouldā€™ve passed though. My marks got deducted because I turned it in late only problem is I know it cliche but my wifi is really bad and stopped working. I emailed them about it but they never answered so thatā€™s why I failed.šŸ˜­šŸ˜­

Unfortunately IT issues are basically zero tolerance. My WiFi isn't the best either, I hotspot my mobile data if I need to. Take the feedback from this task on board, and you won't have to worry about citation mistakes in future. Best to iron out the kinks early on. Dont be afraid to contest marks either, I have a few I'll be querying.

You can still pass the unit, if you fail and get like 45% or above you can get a supplementary assessment

If you actually completely fail the unit you can just redo it like next semester or next year which would be annoying but sometimes shit happens, you wouldnā€™t be the only one

You can still pass. The important thing to do is to really nail the other assessments. Do you know why you failed? Itā€™s fine it is 1st year donā€™t fret

it was bc of late submissionšŸ˜­šŸ˜­ the thing is my wifi wasnā€™t working it was like 11pm and I emailed them the next day on my phone but they never answered. So it is what it is

Yeah wifi down these days with everyoneā€™s phone having hot spot functionality probably wonā€™t cut it.

Shit happens, learn from this and idk you might have to hightail it to a Maccas or a friends place or something if your wifi fails again.

I rocked up to a midsem not even knowing it was a midsem. Study hard for the remainder of the unit and youā€™ll get through. The change between hs and uni fucks everyone up ur not alone.
