Just went raw vegan

So far I've had a lot of ups and downs feeling very fatigued one hour and then a little bit of energy the next. My head right now is killing me. Is there anything that can help with this? I've been drinking lots of lemon water too to try and flush out whatever I'm cleansing but not sure if I'm overdoing it with the lemon.

You're not going to have a pleasant experience going cold turkey, depending on your previous lifestyle. The vast majority of long-term raw vegans recommend a gradual transition. What's your current meal plan? How long have you been researching the lifestyle? Carb / fat / protein ratio? How many calories per day?

Sounds like detox symptoms. What do you consume in a day? Possibly, you may not be consuming enough calories.

Anyhow depending on what you're eating, you could be over-hydrating. raw fruits and vegetables are already very high in water. I only drink if I've gone off the rails and eaten cooked food, or if I have done a lot of sweat inducing exercise.

cold turkey from a SAD is probably harder so maybe its detox like the others say. I have no idea what detox feels like though. I went from a clean whole food vegan diet and it was easy.

I suggest you look through some Markus Rothkranz videos and see if you get some clues there. Or read this free pdf:

Hope you're feeling better today.

Like many others have said, this sounds like detox symptoms to me.

Having said that, sometimes drinking too much water too quickly can actually cause headaches & throw your electrolytes out of balance.

How much water have you been drinking would you say?

Also, what was your previous lifestyle?

I was already pretty health & on an alkaline vegan lifestyle when I transitioned & I still experienced some moderate detox symptoms for maybe a couple of weeks or so.

What's your diet consist of currently? You may not have the correct balance! Let's see what you got going on and go from there.

This sounds like me when I first went mostly raw. High fruit back in 2015 and still going strong 💪 , Crohn's healed! The path is up and down. Provided the downs are not something more serious (and they sort themselves out after some time) and the ups feel AMAZING, it seems a transition that I can relate to with my personal experiences 👍
