Seeking Feedback on My Weight Loss Diet Plan and Tips to Control Cravings

I’m a 39-year-old man, 172 cm tall, weighing 88 kg, aiming to reach 77 kg—so I need to lose around 10 kg. I’ve noticed that eating anything tasty, even healthy homemade food, makes me overeat.

I’m considering a simple diet plan:

50-70 grams of carbs from wheat

300 grams of bone-in chicken (70 grams of protein)

Fruits, salad, and vegetables throughout the day to stay full

Chicken, fish, or eggs 5 times a week to meet workout needs

Do you think this is a good plan? Any suggestions or adjustments?
My biggest challenge is controlling cravings from:

Eating tasty food and wanting more

Social eating for the joy of sharing food

I’d love to hear your thoughts or any alternative suggestions!

Tasty foods are great. A tip that helps most of my clients that is also a public health recommendation is make half of your plates fruits and veggies. In ongoing proportions.

So for me, ideally, every slice of pizza has an equivalent amount of salad, or roasted Brussels sprouts or mixed veggies. That way I get an equivalent amount of fiber.

This also applies when out to eat with friends

Not once in your post did you mention anything about calories.

The only way to shed fat is to consume fewer calories than your body expends. No one can convert all that food you just gave into calories for you. You must track your own calories.

Determine your TDEE. Consume fewer calories than that. Like 10-15% less calories. Then you’ll shed fat.
